Hi I’m Janice, Corporate Sales Director for Aviva.
I’m now doing something I’ve never done before, even in these days of technology, blogs and twitters, it seems like everybody’s at it but me. I’ve managed to survive without ever writing a blog. However, I’ve decided to get in on the act.
I’m responsible for all B2B relationships with UK General Insurance, that’s 3000 brokers and 100 partners. The B2B team is 1800 people across 40 branches from Edinburgh to Brighton. After 9 years in Aviva, which I think is a long time, but to many of my colleagues it’s a brief sojourn, I still learn something everyday. I love what I do.
Any free time is spent outside either at home in the garden or travelling on my hols and if the sun is shining then the roof on the car is down. Relaxation is a good book along with a glass of wine.

I don’t like the word “blog” so I won’t use it, but that’s what this is supposed to be (at least that’s what the Insurance Times boys tell me).
I hope it’s worthwhile for you, but give it time.
For me it has got to be a regular update on what’s happening to Aviva. A sort of “what’s coming up”, “what’s gone well” (lots I hope!) and “what’s not so good” (an extremely short list I hope), plus a few personal touches (so they tell me, if you’re to be a successful blog writer).
Let’s get the personal touches out of the way then.
I am John. I’m the Sales & Marketing Director for Aviva and this is written by me. It hasn’t been delegated! (Apparently that is what some “corporate” blogs do, put a front man on it and get someone else with a better writing flair to write it for them. That’s soooooo not me.)
I’m also a fisherman and a massive Norwich City fan, but I work too hard.
