So will she?
Has she?
Could she?
Did she?
I got the call …!
She got the call?
The cat’s away. (I’m hardly a cat … but there you go … the vagaries of journalism.)
About time …!
She sooooo deserved it …!
So much better than him …
When’s he going?
Is it true?
What did he do wrong?
No one liked him … too left field for my liking … not suited. Doesn’t wear a tie. What a shame but his time had come.
Was it because of the share price (yeah, right ….)
“The name change has kicked off so it’s time for pastures new” …
“He was never right for Igal” …
“He must have messed up” …
What am I going on about and was it the highlight of last week?
It’s what I love about the broker market … one tiny pebble then ripples, spreads, picks up speed and all of a sudden – fiction is fact … he says, she said, they said rules; rumour becomes grapevine becomes concrete.
But the did she/has she/where is he rumours didn’t dominate last week … oh no …
My week was dominated by staff communications, rebrand final touches; feeling proud about the launch of Broker Independence Group (launched under the Aviva brand … see it’s true – it’s more than just a name change)
… thinking about Club 110 and a new additional service for Club brokers (more proof it’s more than a name change)
… a visit to a key partner to talk about Home Insurance
… yet more conversations on the rise of aggregators
… some more difficult conversations re rating/commission
… and in between – numbers, numbers, numbers and more numbers.
Anyway … the did she/has she, was triggered by a broker … to Janice … (she was the mouse whilst the cat was away) …
He’d heard she was taking over my job, my role, my responsibilities and wanted to congratulate her.
She was flattered/honoured but had to explain, “No. I wish … I was taking over his blog … not his job …” one pebble … a thousand ripples …
Business as usual …!
